Using Microsoft Word 2010 is only 334 pages but it is packed full of information and extras. It serves as a complete beginners course in Word. I prefer this to the $179 Microsoft Word book I was required to purchase for a college course. This one is more comprehensive, easier to use and provides better extras for learning like the video tutorials, the web references and the audio sidebars.

It covers all basic Word tutorials and is easy to use and easy to understand.
