Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Yes, it is somewhat of a consumer holiday, but I still love it. It gives me an excuse (not that I need one) to spend time alone with my favorite guy. It gives me an excuse to go out to dinner and splurge on my favorite restaurant, it gives me an excuse to tell everyone else, go away and leave us alone! It’s Valentine’s Day.
Because I love it, I don’t just celebrate with my husband. I also frequently send out Valentine’s cards to my extended family. As a bonus, I frequently get them in return.
I also love the gifts online, although I hardly ever get around to purchasing gifts ahead of time. I love the plethora of love themed personalized gifts like photo mugs and keepsake boxes.
For me, Valentine Day is all about love. Love for my hubby, my dogs, and my family. I love being in love. As a kid, it was all about crafts in school and making stuff for my grandparents and brother. As a young adult, it was about who had a boyfriend in high school to parade around on Valentine’s Day. But now is really the best time. After 13 years of marriage, Valentine’s Day never get’s old.
